Looking for someone who wants to build a career, not just work a job.

ServiceMaster by GBS is looking for a reliable, organized, tech-savvy professional to join our office team.

This is an important position in a fast-moving restoration company. We help people when their homes and businesses have been damaged by water, fire, mold, and other disasters. Our office plays a major role in keeping jobs organized and making sure our customers are taken care of.

We're looking for someone with some prior office, customer service, or administrative experience who is ready to learn, take ownership, and grow with the company.

What We're Looking For

The right person is:

Reliable, responsible, and dependable.
Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software.
A quick learner who is willing to put in the work.
Professional and confident when dealing with customers.
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated and able to get things done without constant supervision.
Honest, trustworthy, and committed to doing things the right way.
Looking for a long-term opportunity and willing to grow with the company.

QuickBooks experience is a strong plus. Experience with CRM, scheduling, accounting, or other business software is also valuable.

What You'll Do

Answer phones, emails, and customer inquiries.
Provide professional and helpful customer service.
Help coordinate jobs, crews, appointments, and schedules.
Enter and maintain information in company software.
Learn and work with multiple programs and systems.
Assist with QuickBooks and other office/accounting tasks.
Communicate with customers, field employees, insurance representatives, and management.
Follow up on outstanding items and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Help keep daily office operations organized.
Take ownership of responsibilities and see them through to completion.

This Is More Than an Administrative Job

Restoration is about more than repairing buildings.

We restore people's lives.

Our customers are often dealing with stressful and unexpected situations. The person in this position plays an important role in making sure customers feel heard, informed, and taken care of.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in that responsibility and understands that their work matters.

Growth Opportunity

There are many programs, systems, and areas of the business to learn. You don't need to know everything on day one.

We need someone willing to learn and put in the work.

If you're a quick learner, we'll train you. If you take initiative, we'll give you more responsibility. If you prove that you can be trusted to get things done when management isn't around, there is an opportunity to grow with the company.

We're looking for someone who wants to become a valuable, long-term member of our team.

Qualifications

Previous office, customer service, administrative, or business experience preferred.
QuickBooks experience is a strong plus.
Strong computer and technology skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Ability to learn new software and processes quickly.
Strong work ethic, integrity, and follow-through.
Ability to commute to our Valley Stream location.
