About the Role

Sturges is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team and front office. You'll also serve as backup to the Staff Accountant during absences, gaining broad exposure across our accounting functions.

Process weekly AP payments and distribute weekly ACH remittance statements to vendors
Review and edit daily/weekly team member timecards for accuracy and completeness
Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries as requested
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, with flexibility to adjust schedules/time off as needed to meet deadlines

Front Office & Team Support

Serve as backup to the Staff Accountant during absences (excluding payroll processing)
Maintain strict confidentiality and security of financial, customer, vendor, and other sensitive company information
