MAJOR FUNCTION:
Responsible and accountable for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of human response to actual or potential physical and emotional health problems. Performs diagnostic and interventional radiographic and cardiologic examinations as prescribed by a licensed invasive radiologist, vascular surgeon, or invasive cardiologist, utilizing radiation-producing equipment within established departmental guidelines serving adult and geriatric patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred
- *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:
- Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC
- Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW
- Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM
- Critical Care Experience required, moderate sedation administration and monitoring experience preferred.
- One-year clinical experience in specialty area required for per diem positions.
Certification/Licensure:
- Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
- American Heart Association BLS required.
- American Heart Association ACLS required.
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred (Radiology (CRN), Cardiology/Vascular (CV-BC), Critical Care (CCRN), Emergency Nursing (CEN)).
