Develop category strategy work for an assigned category, integrating consumer, shopper, customer, and competitive insight into clear strategic frameworks that inform brand, commercial, and innovation decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support category strategy refresh cycles led by the Sr Manager / Associate DirectorDevelop category strategy outputs for an assigned category — Best in class shelving recommendations, assortment priorities, category trends and key retailer strategyTranslate consumer, shopper, customer, and competitive insight into clear strategic implications and recommendationsPartner with Brand, Sales Managers, Insights, and R&D to align category strategy with brand and innovation prioritiesBuild category narratives, strategic content, and selling stories used by customer teams and leadershipMaintain a current view of category trends, competitive activity, and channel dynamics for the assigned scopeConduct deep-dive analyses on category opportunities, threats, and white space
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred6+ years in CPG category strategy, brand, consulting, category management, or customer strategy & planningStrong analytical and strategic thinking skillsBasic understanding CPG commercial mechanics (RGM, trade, innovation, commercialization)Fluency with syndicated data (Circana / NielsenIQ), retailer POS, Planograming and shopper insight toolsEffective storytelling, framing, and presentation skillsComfortable operating in a matrixed, cross-functional environment

Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$113,800-$156,500
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
