Description
SUMMARY
The Sewist is responsible for producing high-quality custom drapery, AV-Drop skins, and other fabric products. This role requires strong sewing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate industrial sewing equipment, including straight stitch and overlock.
- Measure, cut, sew, and finish fabric products according to work orders and specifications.
- Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship.
- Follow instructions and drawings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with fabric handling, material organization, and inventory as needed.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Support team members and assist with other fabrication tasks as assigned.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of sewing experience preferred.
- Experience with industrial sewing machines.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to sewing equipment and textiles.
