You will be paired with a manager and mentor on the team, given a scoped project of your own, and expected to ship real changes into our environments over the course of the summer.
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of modern software languages – C, C++, Java, Python
- A background or interest in building large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications is desired.
- Willing to take ownership of their work, working both independently and within a small team.
- Detail-oriented.
- A passion for technology.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working in a Linux/command-line environment and with version control (Git).
- Exposure to any of the following is a plus, but not required: cloud platforms (AWS), containers and Kubernetes, SQL, or web development (React/TypeScript).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – you will be asked to explain what you found and what you changed to people outside your immediate team.

The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $35-$75 hourly based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
