As the Customer Sales Lead for Stop & Shop, you will own the development and execution of the joint business plan for the Campbell’s Snacks portfolio. You will drive sales, profit, share, and trade management objectives by building strong customer relationships, translating brand strategies into action, and partnering across the business to deliver sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate will live in the Northeastern United States.
What You Will Do…
Lead the joint business planning process and annual strategic plan for Stop & Shop.
Build and manage the business plan to achieve volume, profit, share, and trade investment objectives.
Develop and execute trade promotion strategies and customer plans using sales planning and investment tools.
Evaluate promotional performance, consumption, profit, and spending results, then apply insights to future opportunities.
Manage trade funding, deduction balances, post audits, and monthly forecasts in accordance with company standards.
Use syndicated, loyalty, shopper, and category data to lead business reviews, category assessments, and fact-based recommendations.
Partner with Stop & Shop buyers, category managers, and merchandising leaders to implement Campbell brand strategies and identify growth opportunities.
Sell in new items, optimize assortment and distribution, and secure additional product placements in Stop & Shop stores and digital channels.
Identify profitable incremental volume opportunities and monitor competitive activity, consumer trends, inventory changes, and forecast risks.
Partner with Customer Marketing to develop collaborative programs aligned with Campbell and Stop & Shop strategies.
Who You Will Work With…
You will build productive relationships with key decision-makers at Stop & Shop, including buyers, category managers, and merchandising leaders. Internally, you will collaborate closely with Finance, Category Management, Customer Marketing, Customer Business Managers, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Integrated Marketing, Customer Development, and Brand Management.
What You Bring to the Table… (Must Have)
Bachelor’s degree.
6+ years of relevant experience in the CPG industry.
Experience leading joint business planning, customer strategy, and trade promotion execution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and data analysis capabilities.
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Ability to build relationships and conduct meetings with senior customer decision-makers.
It Would be Great if You Have… (Nice to Have)
Experience using syndicated data sources such as IRI, Nielsen, or 1010data.
Category and brand knowledge.
Knowledge of supply chain operations.
Experience managing a P&L.
Experience with trade management systems.
Experience using digital shelf solutions to improve availability and placement.
Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$117,600-$161,700
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
