The Job Description outlines your primary responsibilities as a caregiver. Objective: To provide professional care giving services and to help clients maintain their independence and to assist them with the activities of daily living and household and family support services.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Companionship and conversation
- Light housekeeping
- Household management
- Walking assistance
- Eating assistance
- Errands
- Transportation
- Assist client to and from bed
Other Requirements:
- Meal planning and preparation
- Laundry and linen changing
- Bathing assistance
- Dressing assistance
- Toileting
- Medication reminders
- Monitor Alzheimer’s & Dementia client
- Assist client throughout the night
- Document activities in the Care Plan Book daily
- Report any significant client changes to the office immediately.
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Senior Helpers Employee Handbook and Training Manual.
Qualifications
- CHHA license required
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect.
- Ability to read, write and speak English at an average adult level.
- Ability to successfully complete Personal Care Services training and skills assessment test.
- Ability to drive to get to work and have a vehicle available during assignments.
- Demonstrate tact, patience and good hygiene
- Must have flexibility with schedule and be able to work various shifts and days
- Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers.
