What the day will look like
The Senior Director - Strategy, Planning, & Analysis is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic business and financial planning process and long-term financial analysis. This position plays a meaningful role in guiding excellent long-term planning, improved financial performance, and decision making based on data across the enterprise. This senior leadership role will work closely with leaders from different functions. The goal is to ensure we deliver on our 3x3 commitments and plan for the firm’s long-term future. This role will lead the integration of potential acquisitions with the mission of crafting a finance organization. The organization will act as a trusted strategic partner that provides data-driven insights for balanced shareholder value and growth.
- Continuously lead and improve business planning cycles at the company. Ensure timely, accurate, and robust insights into revenue, costs, and profitability trends. Develop scenario planning for strategic insights beyond the next 12 months.
- Model Development for Scenario Planning: Build and maintain dynamic revenue and cost models to support long term scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and strategic decision-making
- 3x3 Execution: support the CFO on strategic 3x3 decisions, key performance indicators, delivery against the organization scorecard, highlighting key areas of achievement, course correction against breakthroughs
- Partner on Quarterly Business Reviews: Proactively lead periodic reviews for the CFO against goals. Develop action plans needed for the organization to meet its financial objectives. Focus on operational and fiscal aspects, including P&L and Cashflow.
- Lead the preparation of presentations and reports that are clear, concise, and impactful. These are for executive leadership, the board of directors, and external collaborators.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Digital Transformation team and other functional leaders to drive adoption of advanced data analysis and visualization standard processes throughout the Finance organization
- Investment Optimization: Partner with IO team to incorporate frameworks that connect investment decisions directly to P&L outcomes, and the long-term view of investment contributions to the bottom line
- Partner across the team to stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities. Use this information to guide business strategy and keep a competitive edge.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Ten plus years of dynamic experience in corporate finance
- Excellent analytical, financial, and business leadership skills with a deep understanding of P&L and cash flow management
- Proven track record of collaborating cross functionally at all levels within sophisticated organizations
- Extensive experience presenting to and collaborating with a C suite audience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent years of industry experience

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $180,000 to $220,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
