Are you passionate about solving plumbing challenges and providing top-notch customer service? Do you have experience in residential plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance? Ready to grow your career with a company that values quality workmanship and customer satisfaction? Then we want to talk to you!
Plumbing Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Selling Service Plumber to join their team!
We provide the training, tools, and latest technology to help our team be their best and reach their potential personally and professionally.
The Selling Service Plumber performs full-scope residential plumbing service and repair while owning the sales conversation on every call — presenting the right options, educating customers on financing and maintenance plans, and converting club memberships. This role is held accountable for revenue per visit in addition to technical quality: customers should get expert work and the right solution, and the company should get a fair shot at every piece of business a call can generate. Above all, the Selling Service Plumber follows the company’s standard process on every call, ensuring each customer receives the same care and attention to detail regardless of which technician performs the work.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Field & Technical Service
- Complete plumbing, drain cleaning, and other related in-home service calls
- Serve clients by expertly servicing their entire plumbing system
Customer Experience & Communication
- Clearly explain the work being performed — and the completed result — to the client, ensuring they’re fully satisfied
- Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business
- Resolve client concerns and issues promptly to ensure complete satisfaction
- Represent the company professionally at all times, committed to 100% client satisfaction
- Follow the company’s standard service process on every call so every customer receives the same high level of service, regardless of which technician performs the work
Sales & Revenue Accountability
- Understand sales criteria and hold yourself accountable for meeting and/or exceeding revenue goals
- Establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services
- Take incoming client questions about proposed options on-site, presenting choices in a way that makes the client comfortable and confident in their decision
- Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans
- Explain club memberships to the client; meet or exceed the club conversion rate of non-members
- Set client follow-up appointments as needed to close estimates and uncommitted work
- Meet or exceed the budgeted five-star reviews per week and communicated target closing ratio
- Present all estimates in person, in front of the customer
Training & Development
- Participate actively in training exercises, morning meetings, and retreats
- Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations
- Commit to ongoing sales and technical training — both self-directed and by requesting resources when needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or completion of New Jersey Plumbing Trade School
- 4+ years of hands-on residential plumbing service and repair experience
- Comfortable presenting pricing options and closing sales in a customer’s home; track record of, or willingness to be measured on, closing ratio and average ticket
- Strong verbal communication skills; able to build trust and rapport quickly with customers
- Working knowledge of ServiceTitan or comparable field service software (job notes, option sheets, membership sign-up)
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb ladders and work with equipment; lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to pick up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted
- Ability to work on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for up to 8 hours; work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and up to 12 hours per day as needed
