Bessemer Trust is seeking a talented Corporate Accounting Associate to join the Corporate Accounting Department. The ideal candidate would have accounting or auditing experience, financial services industry experience, and a strong understanding of the financial statement close process and controls. This role will report into a Corporate Accounting Manager and will have wide exposure to our accounting processes.
The Corporate Accounting Associate will be responsible for:
- Working with a Corporate Accounting Manager on the accounting close processes for certain bank subsidiaries
- Accounting for key financial statement line items, including investments, leases, and pensions
- Assist with third-party valuation processes and accounting for goodwill
- Assist in financial statement and footnote compilation for both our US GAAP financial statements and our annual report
- Contribute meaningfully to our control certification processes
- Prepare certain materials reported to the Board of Directors
- Becoming technically proficient in regulatory reporting, including preparation of bank subsidiary call reports
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of experience with financial services accounting and/ or auditing
- Big 4 public accounting experience beneficial
- CPA license is beneficial
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments
- Excellent attention to detail and highly motivated
- Experience with Oracle ERP is beneficial
The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive based on individual and company performance.
