Overview
As a Manager of IT, you’ll manage both technology and people. On the technology side, you’ll improve operational efficiencies and create value for our customers by identifying and addressing areas of improvement and by working with our internal teams to build better solutions and processes. On the people side, you’ll build a team of high performers by recruiting, developing, mentoring, and managing individual contributors at all levels.
Responsibilities
- This position will focus on Cybersecurity Engineering. This is a hands-on position.
- Coaches, mentors, and develops team members, providing them with appropriate skill building and career development opportunities.

- Plans and allocates resources to effectively staff and achieve individual, team, and project productivity, quality, and continuous improvement goals.
- Establishes and maintains relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor and measure team productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.
- Prepares periodic reports for management to track strategic goal accomplishment.
- Actively builds and strengthens relationships with IT employees, other managers, directors, VPs, and other designated and/or relevant contacts within the organization.
- Solicits and/or identifies problems, assuming accountability for the development and implementation of improvements in process, technology, information flow, and operational efficiency.
- Understands how their team / area of responsibility fits into the larger organization and actively works to strengthen those connections.
- Stays up to date with current trends and emerging technologies in their area of expertise, serving as a knowledgeable resource to all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- Possess and maintain a strong grasp of modern security architecture, cloud security, AI security architecture, next-generation firewalls (NGFW), privileged access management (PAM), and current/future cybersecurity tooling to effectively evaluate trade-offs, review technical designs, and either guide engineers through complex decisions or personally complete the necessary work.
