Overview
The Publicis Groupe Procurement team is a board-mandated function providing holistic procurement business solutions to the companies within the Publicis Groupe. The department supports Publicis Groupe spend via best-in-class procurement processes and negotiations.
Based in New York and reporting to the Groupe Chief Procurement and Real Estate Officer, this role is the senior procurement leader for the Americas and a key member of the Global Procurement leadership team.
The role combines business partnering, procurement leadership and category ownership. Acting as the primary interface between Procurement and the agencies, the successful candidate will ensure the business has a clear route into Procurement, receives excellent support and sees Procurement as a commercial enabler rather than a gatekeeper.
The role leads a team of approximately 20 procurement professionals and has responsibility for the design and implementation of category strategies in the region, ranging from facilities management to HR/professional services, IT and production services, working closely with their global category peers.
Success in the role will be measured not only through commercial outcomes, but through stakeholder engagement, growth in spend under management and the overall perception of Procurement within the business.

Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
Lead Procurement Across the Americas
- Act as the senior procurement leader for the Americas region.
- Build strong relationships with agency leadership and key business stakeholders.
- Ensure the business has easy access to Procurement support, guidance and expertise.
- Drive greater engagement with Procurement and increase spend under management.
- Champion a service-oriented, business-focused approach across the team.
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
- Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 20 procurement professionals.
- Create a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration and customer focus.
- Develop future leaders and ensure the team has the right capabilities to support a fast-moving business.
- Set clear priorities and maintain a consistent standard of excellence across the function.
Category Leadership
- Own the procurement strategy for the Americas across a range of indirect categories including Media production, Facilities management, HR/Professional Services.
- Provide executive oversight on key sourcing initiatives, strategic supplier relationships and major negotiations.
- Ensure the business receives commercial and practical and value-driven advice.
- Support teams in simplifying supplier landscapes, improving commercial terms and managing risk.
Be a Trusted Business Partner
- Work alongside agency leaders to understand business priorities and challenges.
- Help stakeholders make better buying decisions rather than simply running procurement processes.
- Identify opportunities to create value, improve supplier performance and optimize spend.
- Represent Procurement in senior leadership discussions and cross-functional initiatives.
Deliver Commercial Impact
- Increase Procurement's influence, reach and credibility across the organization.
- Drive sustainable savings and value creation while supporting business growth.
- Expand spend under management across the Americas.
- Ensure procurement activity is aligned with the Groupe's broader business objectives.
Experience & Capabilities
- Significant experience leading procurement teams in large, complex organizations.
- Proven experience operating at senior leadership or executive level.
- Strong background across indirect procurement categories.
- Experience building trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success growing procurement engagement and spend under management.
- Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading and developing large, geographically dispersed teams.

Qualifications
- 15-20 years of professional experience with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles within Procurement
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Finance/Accounting, or Business Administration; an MBA would be a plus.
- Experience in the Communications field is a plus; familiarity with production services.
- Prefer candidates with general indirect procurement experience including media production, technology, facilities management, HR and business services.

Salary Range: $250,000-$280,000 per annum + discretionary bonus. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
