This role supports Berkadia’s national Agency origination platform by serving as a primary liaison between the mortgage banking network, Fannie Mae, and internal credit and production teams. The position independently underwrites, sizes, and prices multifamily loan opportunities, prepares internal approval materials, and manages quote input and tracking within Salesforce-based systems. The role requires analyzing multifamily market data—including rents, sales, cap rates, vacancy, and competitive dynamics—to inform loan structuring and platform strategy. This position also presents deals and addresses questions from Mortgage Bankers regarding pricing, sizing, and submissions, while leading training efforts for new hires within the Mortgage Banking Real Estate Analyst–Deal Management network.
Responsibilities
- Proactively communicate with Berkadia’s mortgage banking network regarding products and policies.
- Perform analyst duties for the national Agency origination team, including independently reviewing, sizing, and pricing multifamily transactions with the product originations team during the quote process, with minimal oversight.
- Engage with Fannie Mae during the quote process, draft quotes for the business and credit teams, and input quotes into the Salesforce-based internal tracking system.
- Prepare internal approval memos for Berkadia’s Credit Committee and utilize internal and external Berkadia tools for analysis.
- Analyze multifamily market information, such as rent/sale comps, capitalization rates, market vacancy, industry trends, and competitor data, to evaluate loan opportunities and support the development of the production platform.
- Present deals and independently address questions, serving as the primary contact for Mortgage Bankers regarding pricing, sizing, and submissions.
- Lead training for new hires in the Mortgage Banking Real Estate Analyst-Deal Management network.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Develop strong relationships and build trust with assigned Mortgage Bankers, leveraging excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both internal and external customers.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, supporting efficient and accurate work processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to rapidly changing conditions while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks.
- Experience in underwriting agency (GSE) multifamily loans is advantageous.
The provided base salary information for this position is part of an overall national range. The actual salary within our range for this position will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The total compensation package for this role may also include additional incentive opportunities.

$80,000-$100,000
