Transteck has an immediate opening for a Truck Sales Representative to support the truck sales department.
The Truck Sales Representative position is directly responsible for supporting Account Managers of new Freightliner and Western Star medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks in a business-to-business sales environment working with fleets, small businesses, and owner/operators. Essential job functions include:
- Developing new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, phone calls, email, and in-person visits
- Maintaining accurate CRM records
- Learning and preparing truck specifications
- Preparing quotations and proposals
- Managing online inventory for new and used trucks
- Supporting Account Managers as needed with ordering and truck deliveries.
The pace is fast and demanding - all part of providing the best service possible to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in commercial truck sales. Previous heavy-duty truck experience is not required. The ideal candidate is driven to succeed, outgoing, professional, competitive, organized, and eager to learn what the trucking industry has to offer.
Qualifications include:
- 1-2 years working in a professional Business to Business sales environment.
- Driven personality capable of succeeding in a highly competitive industry
- An entrepreneurial approach to time and resource management
- Participation in trade shows and local associations to build industry knowledge and relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Willing to obtain a Commercial Driver's License
- High School Diploma required
