PRACTICE is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to provide in-person Environmental Science tutoring to high school scholars. As a PRACTICE Education Champion, you'll collaborate with classroom teachers to support scholars and create a positive learning experience.
Position Details
Compensation: $27–$30 per hour
Subject: High School Environmental Science
Completion Bonus: Opportunity to earn up to 10% of total program earnings upon successful program completion, subject to eligibility requirements.
What You'll Do
Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support in Environmental Science.
Help scholars understand science concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for assessments.
Work alongside classroom teachers to reinforce lessons and support learning goals.
Encourage scholar participation, confidence, and academic growth.
Maintain consistent attendance, professionalism, and communication throughout the program.
What We're Looking For
Understanding of Environmental Science or related science subjects.
Interest in working with high school students and supporting their academic success.
Clear communication skills and the ability to explain concepts in an understandable way.
Reliability, professionalism, and commitment to the established program schedule.
A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and collaborate with educators.
Previous tutoring, mentoring, teaching, or youth-development experience is a plus, but not required.
