Job Description
FJ Group Accounting & Tax Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Data Entry Specialist to join our accounting team.
The ideal candidate must have prior bookkeeping experience, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to accurately maintain financial records with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and categorize financial transactions accurately.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain bookkeeping records using QuickBooks.
- Review transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Organize invoices, receipts, expenses, and payments.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and maintain Profit & Loss statements and other financial reports.
- Maintain organized and accurate client financial records.
- Support the accounting team with daily financial and administrative tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous hands-on bookkeeping experience is required.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in an accounting or tax preparation office preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Work Location & Additional Information
- This is a 100% in-office position in North Plainfield, NJ.
- No remote or hybrid work options are available.
