What You'll Do
- Lead project health, safety, and environmental programs throughout all phases of construction.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, project requirements, and company HSE policies.
- Conduct hazard assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and prevention initiatives.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and project teams to maintain safe work practices.
- Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee safety orientations.
- Support emergency response planning and incident management activities.
- Develop and continuously improve HSE procedures, reporting systems, and safety programs.
- Provide field safety leadership during construction, startup, and commissioning activities.
- Mentor project personnel and promote a culture of safety excellence.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of construction health and safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigations.
- Experience managing corrective action programs and safety improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30, CHST, ASP, CSP, or other relevant safety certifications.
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, shipyard, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
- Experience managing subcontractor safety programs and field safety operations.
- Experience supporting large-scale construction or industrial projects.
Work Location
This position is based on-site at the Hanwha Philly Shipyard Expansion Project in Philadelphia, PA. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
