Overview
Responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by maintaining a strong security presence and responding to potential threats. The role includes patrolling assigned areas, monitoring surveillance and alarm systems, controlling access to facilities, and enforcing security procedures. Armed officers are trained to carry and safely use firearms in accordance with legal regulations while handling emergencies, disturbances, or suspicious activity. They also document incidents, assist visitors, and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary. The position requires vigilance, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control points.
- Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Enforce company policies, rules, and safety procedures.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activities.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and other crimes.
- Carry and use firearms in accordance with state laws and company guidelines.
- De-escalate conflicts and handle disturbances professionally.
- Write detailed incident, accident, and daily activity reports.
- Inspect property and equipment for security risks or hazards.
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
- Perform routine safety checks and report any concerns.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma / GED required
- Must have Valid Driver's License
- Must have Valid ACT 235 Certificate
- Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form.
- Must be physically able to perform the tasks required by the position.
