Woods Machinery is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to support the company's financial operations by handling both Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) tasks. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy, and voucher payments accordingly.
- Prepare and process vendor payments, including bi-monthly check runs.
- Generate and send customer invoices, ensuring accurate documentation and timely receipt of incoming payments.
- Manage accounts reconciliation, track financial records, and resolve discrepancies with vendor invoices.
- Handle A/R collections, follow up on past-due accounts, and email statements and outstanding invoices to customers.
- Create and maintain customer accounts, establish credit terms, and ensure refunds for incorrect charges or overpayments.
- Receive and voucher manufacturer-sponsored credits, ensuring proper allocation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings, including A/P and A/R account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in the company operating system and collaborate with team members to resolve financial queries.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable or a related accounting role.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Pre-Hire Requirements: Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
- Flexible Availability: Willingness to work overtime as business needs arise.
