Chemours is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Advanced Electronics team! This position will report directly to the Global Technology Manager.

Location: Newark, DE

Hours: 10-20 hours per week

Preferred First Term: Winter 2026

Candidates must be able to commit to at least a total of three (3) months as a co-op. Two (2) or more terms may be required.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct standardized electrical tests to characterize dielectric properties of existing and newly developed materials under various conditions.

  • Develop and validate new test methods to address evolving team requirements and ensure accurate material performance evaluation.

  • Analyze and interpret test data, preparing detailed technical reports and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.

  • Recommend improvements to testing protocols and propose innovative approaches for material characterization.

  • Create predictive models using empirical data and physics-based principles to forecast material behavior and guide development efforts.

  • Collaborate with material scientists and engineers to integrate electrical performance insights into product design and development.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols while maintaining accuracy and reliability in all testing activities.

The following is required for this role:

  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a MS, PhD or above at time of assignment

  • Completion an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.

  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and modeling

The following is preferred for this role:

  • 3.0 GPA or above.

  • Experience with simulation tools.
