Responsible for the layout, installation, repair and maintenance of various electrical telecommunication systems that provide power for machines, equipment, lighting and facilities in accordance with codes, regulations and safety. Will be required to make periodic preventative maintenance inspections of all electrical equipment, looking for potential trouble. Will clean, lubricate, replace and adjust equipment as conditions indicate. Work will include the complete installation and maintenance of industrial electrical systems and equipment used in the treatment of wastewater and related ancillary systems.
Must be available for emergencies/job assignments on a 24-hour basis.
Requirements: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position. Must have an in-depth knowledge of electrical theory, including the layout, installation, maintenance and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment used in the treatment of wastewater. Must have the aptitude to learn, install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of industrial electrical and telecommunication systems. Must have the ability to set up work tasks, as well as have an in-depth knowledge of electrical theory.
Experience: Minimum of nine (9) years of progressive experience in the electrical trade.
Education: High School Diploma, Vocational School Diploma or equivalency certificate, plus two (2) years of formal training in the Electrical Field including National Electric Code (NEC) code review classes.
Physical Demands: Ability to perform the essential functions of the position as they relate to physical and mental requirements to ensure the health and safety of oneself, and others is maintained. Must qualify for an possess the ability to perform entry into Confined Spaces while wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as but not limited to canister and dust masks as well as SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus). Perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, legs and the whole body, such as climbing (including ladders), lifting up to 50 lbs., balancing, walking, stooping and handling heavy objects.
The expected base pay range is $94,465 to $118,020. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, education, training, and formal credentials.

Working Conditions: Work covers the entire electrical trade and requires the ability to work independently due to the diverse nature of the work. Conditions are associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system.
