11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Holidays as needed.

Job Description

The CT Technologist performs computer tomography procedures, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation, and assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex CT procedures and uses professional judgment to review and obtain patient clinical histories.
• Prepares and reviews the accuracy of contrast questionnaires with patients and/or family members.
• Identifies and administers contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed.
• Verifies patient prescriptions and communicates with Radiologists and Referring Physicians for additional clinical information.
• Responsible for obtaining and scheduling outside studies in PACS.
• Evaluates radiographs for diagnostic value and proper identification.
• Preps patients for scanning and determines appropriate types and doses of contrast.
• Monitors patients' conditions during procedures for any adverse reactions.
• Maintains appropriate documentation and communicates relevant information to patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of CT experience required (5 years preferred).
• Experience with GE Equipment, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS is required.
• ARRT license and CT certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of hire date.
• New Jersey DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required.
