Special Education Paraprofessional

10 Points is urgently hiring for Special Education Paraprofessionals for classroom assistance, paraeducator shall be working with students who require a behavioral aide who can also provide academic support. Job Responsibilities:

• Assists teacher by helping with classroom instruction and working with children during instructional activities.

• Students with behavior needs either mental health challenges or Autism.

• May assist in planning and implementing field trips for reinforcing classroom objectives.

• Monitors children’s behavior inside and outside of the classroom. Escorts students to areas on campus.

• Prepares classroom for activities, including organizing assignments and/or preparing homework folders.

• Tracking students' progress and preparing reports for the parents.

• Assisting Teachers in counseling parents on the requirements and development of their children.

• Co-teaching lessons under the Teacher's guidance, leading small groups or individual instruction and discussions, and reviewing class work.

Education & Qualifications:

• 1+ years of working experience as a Paraprofessional.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or associate degree in education or related field preferred.
