The Smile Institute Family Orthodontics & Children’s Dentistry is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in Manahawkin, NJ.

Our office is a busy, family-oriented orthodontic and pediatric dental practice. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and can stay organized while handling multiple responsibilities at once.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate is someone who:

Has previous receptionist, front desk, or clerical experience
Has excellent customer service and communication skills
Is comfortable with computers and able to learn new software quickly
Is neat, organized, and detail-oriented
Can multitask while remaining calm and friendly
Has a good memory and can follow office systems and procedures
Enjoys interacting with children and families
Is comfortable answering phones, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients
Is willing to help keep the front office and patient areas clean, organized, and presentable
Works well as part of a team and is willing to jump in wherever needed

Dental office experience is strongly preferred. Experience submitting dental insurance claims is a major plus.

Typical responsibilities

You will help greet patients and families, answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, work with patient information in our computer system, assist with dental insurance and claims, collect and record payments, and help keep the front desk running smoothly throughout the day.

Some days are very busy and require constant multitasking; other times are quieter. We are looking for someone who can stay productive, organized, and helpful in both environments.

Schedule

Our typical workday begins at 8:30 AM and finishes around 5:30 PM, with a lunch break from 1:00–2:00 PM. Some days may run slightly later depending on the patient schedule.
