Our company is seeking an experienced Carpenter to support our residential HVAC, insulation, and weatherization installation crews. This is a solo-capable role: most days you will be dispatched to a job site independently to build support structures for equipment installs or to complete home repair work resulting from damaged or deteriorated areas of a structure. Work varies day to day between new structural framing/support builds and repairing carpentry (doors, window frames, trim, and similar).
The ideal candidate will have the following skillset:
- MINIMUM of 5 years' experience in carpentry/construction.
- Ability to work solo on a job site with minimal supervision.
- Framing and building support structures/platforms for mechanical (HVAC) and insulation equipment installs.
- Ductwork chase framing and clearances for install crews.
- Door installation and replacement.
- Window frame repair and replacement (including rot/water damage repair).
- General structural repairs such as sistering/repairing joists, rim joist and sill plate repair, and subfloor repair.
- Trim, siding, and drywall patch repair as needed to complete a job.
- Electrical experience related to projects such as bathroom fan installations and residential retrofits
- Have your own hand tools. (Power tools provided)
- A clean driver's license needed fortravel to job sites across NJ is required.
- Ability to read a scope of work and complete it with limited direction.
- Good attitude and punctuality.
- Physically fit: comfortable in attics, crawlspaces, and other tight-access areas.
- Ability to coordinate with install crews and the office to keep jobs on schedule.
Pay:
Schedule: 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Potential for weekend/on-call work
Commute: Dover, NJ 07801 (home base)
Work Location: On the road — job sites across NJ
