Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University invites applications for a two-year renewable, full-time non-tenure-track Business Statistics faculty position starting September 1, 2027.
Ideal candidates for this position will have both professional experience in industry and teaching experience at the university level. Preference for this position will be given to candidates who can demonstrate teaching/professional experience in Business Statistics. The candidate selected will be expected to teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in both face-to-face and online delivery modes.
Position is a two-year, ten-month, non-tenure track appointment, with eligibility for reappointment based on established NTTP procedures.
Teaching Faculty members are expected to contribute to the University's mission through excellence in teaching and service.
Teaching: The standard annual teaching load for 10-month teaching faculty is 12 teaching credit hours (TCH) a semester, with an additional 6 TCH in the summer for 12-month faculty. Reassigned time (course release) is available for faculty with additional responsibilities such as administering programs. Teaching Faculty are expected to center student success and measurable learning
outcomes through clear course design, inclusive pedagogies, and the integration of emerging disciplinary and pedagogical developments. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, student mentoring and advising, and developing and updating courses and curricula aligned with student demands and institutional strategic priorities.
Service: Teaching Faculty members are expected to perform valuable service to the department, college/school, and university. This includes participating in shared governance, academic program vitality, and sharing professional expertise within and beyond the University. Service activities are separate and distinct from the specific assignments for which teaching faculty members receive
course release.
THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND BUSINESS ANALYTICS:
The Department of Information Management & Business Analytics offers a BS in Business Analytics and a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Management Information Systems, a minor in Business Analytics, and MS in Business Analytics. The department also supports the MBA Program, teaching both required (core and concentration-specific) and elective graduate courses.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
● Master’s degree in statistics, business analytics, data science or a related field
● Demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching business statistics.
● Practical experience in applied statistics, business analytics or related field.
● A record that demonstrates interest and commitment to service.
