Engineering Technician

We are looking for a talented Engineering Technician to assist in the fabrication and maintenance of our newly introduced test equipment as well as our legacy production equipment.
In this role, you would typically:
- Troubleshoot, repair and perform Preventative Maintenance of all test equipment in support of production and qualification testing;
- Assemble and wire new test equipment in accordance with provided instructions and/or diagrams;
- Perform soldering work to J STD;
- Perform qualification tests and validation of newly introduced test equipment;
- Serve as a backup resource to Perform Vibration and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS);
- Perform calibration in accordance with procedures
We require:
- Associate’s degree in an engineering or electronics discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience (High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of technical experience);
- Three years technical experience in an engineering development environment;
- You to be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the US Government and able to work without restriction with controlled technology and data
We would really like to see:
- An ability to program and operate environmental chambers and vibration generators;
- Good communication, technical writing skills and computer skills including MS Office;
- A self-starter who is capable of working independently as well as part of a team;
- An ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings;
- Demonstrated understanding of Automated Functional Test Equipment and Software such as LabView;
- An ability to work overtime as needed (weekday/weekend) to support Production or Qualification Testing
A team player who can also work independently with minimum supervision
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $40.00 to $50.00 per hour. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position.”
