Job Title: Medical Scribe
Location: Cedar Knolls, NJ and Jefferson, NJ
Schedule: 7am-7pm Monday to Wednesday

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Part-Time Scribe. This role involves working two days a week, with each day consisting of a 10-hour shift. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation:
- Accurately transcribe and document information provided by medical professionals, including patient history, physical examinations, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and adheres to established guidelines.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with healthcare providers to capture and document relevant information during patient encounters.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to facilitate effective communication and information exchange.
Data Entry:
- Enter medical information into electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately and promptly.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of entered data to maintain a reliable and up-to-date patient record.
Confidentiality:
- Uphold strict confidentiality and security measures in handling sensitive patient information.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and other applicable privacy laws.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear or missing information in the documentation.
- Report any concerns or issues related to documentation promptly to the relevant parties.
Time Management:
- Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and complete documentation in a timely manner.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure the smooth flow of documentation processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical setting is preferred.
- Strong typing skills and proficiency in computer applications, including electronic health record systems.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
