Description
Business Development Representative
Position type: Full time; non-exempt
Location: Remote
Made4net is a leading provider of supply chain execution software solutions. Our innovative technology helps businesses optimize their supply chain operations, increase efficiency, and improve overall productivity. With a global presence and a commitment to excellence, Made4net is at the forefront of the industry, serving a diverse range of clients across various sectors.
Purpose of the Job:
Made4net is looking for a Business Development Representative who is curious, competitive, comfortable picking up the phone, and genuinely interested in learning how enterprise software gets sold. This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your day waiting for someone to hand you a list of leads. You’ll take an active role in building opportunities - researching companies, identifying the right people, starting conversations, asking thoughtful questions, and working alongside our Account Executives and Marketing team to help turn interest into real sales opportunities. Some days, you’ll hear “not interested.” Other days, you’ll uncover a multimillion-dollar transformation project.
Key Responsibilities
You will help create pipeline for Made4net by:
- Prospecting into companies that fit our ideal customer profile through phone, email, LinkedIn, events, campaigns, and good old-fashioned research.
- Following up quickly and thoughtfully with prospects who engage with Made4net.
- Working directly with Account Executives to develop account strategies and break into high-value organizations.
- Learning enough about a prospect’s operation to understand what is happening, why it matters, and whether Made4net can help.
- Identifying the people involved in the buying decision and finding ways to engage multiple stakeholders.
- Using the tools available to identify the right prospects, ask better questions, and schedule qualification calls with the Sales Development Manager.
- Keeping Salesforce accurate and up to date - because if it didn’t happen in Salesforce, we’re going to pretend it didn’t happen.
- Learning our market, competitors, customers, and the supply chain challenges our technology solves.
- Experimenting with new approaches. If you have a smarter way to get someone’s attention, we want to hear it.
- Your job is not simply to book meetings. Your job is to create conversations worth having.
What Success Looks Like
You’ll know you’re succeeding when you’re consistently creating qualified opportunities, building strong relationships with your Account Executives, developing effective prospecting habits, and getting better at understanding the business problems behind the software.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree required
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or the supply chain industry

- Coachable, with a willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continuously improve.
- Confident communicating and building relationships with people you do not know.
- Organized and able to manage a high level of activity while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team while taking ownership of individual results.
- Willing to challenge existing approaches, contribute new ideas, and identify better ways of working.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, web meeting tools, Salesforce or another CRM, LinkedIn, and common prospecting and research tools.
- Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, SaaS, or supply chain is a plus, but not required. Potential, work ethic, curiosity, and the ability to learn are equally important.
- Ability to travel on a limited basis for company meetings and selected industry events.
What You’ll Learn Here
- If you want to build a career in enterprise sales, we want this role to give you the foundation to do it.
