Role Overview
The Logistics & Vendor Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring vendor adherence to Delta Galil logistics, customs, and transportation requirements while supporting day-to-day import operations. This role serves as the key liaison between vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to improve shipment visibility, documentation accuracy, customs compliance, and operational execution.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in logistics operations, vendor management, customs compliance, and transportation documentation.
The role will also require strong communication and collaboration with key business partners and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Planning, Production, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Vendor Compliance Management
- Monitor vendor compliance with shipping instructions, booking requirements, and logistics SOPs.
- Track and report vendor performance regarding document submission timeliness, booking compliance, packing list accuracy, and shipping milestone adherence.
- Manage vendor chargeback investigations and support corrective action initiatives.
- Assist with vendor onboarding and training for logistics platforms and transportation processes.
- Conduct compliance audits and identify recurring vendor issues.
Customs & Trade Compliance
- Verify HTS classifications and coordinate corrections when required.
- Support First Sale, Duty Drawback, and customs documentation initiatives.
- Ensure commercial invoices, packing lists, COO documents, and customs declarations meet U.S. Customs requirements.
- Review and monitor compliance reports from ACE and customs brokers.
- Assist with CF28 and customs inquiry responses when required.
Transportation & Logistics Operations
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, consolidators, carriers, and customs brokers.
- Review shipment milestones and proactively address potential delays.
- Monitor ocean, air, parcel, and drayage movements.
- Support routing optimization and exception management.
- Track Original Bills of Lading (OBLs), payment status, and required shipment documentation.
Process Improvement
- Identify recurring vendor and operational issues.
- Develop KPI reporting and compliance scorecards.
- Support SOP creation and continuous improvement projects.
- Partner with IT, sourcing, production, and providers on logistics initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of logistics, customs compliance, or transportation experience.
- Experience with ocean and air freight operations.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations.
- Knowledge of HTS classification, commercial invoices, and import documentation.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and vendor management abilities.
Preferred
- Experience with Infor Nexus, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
- ACE Portal experience.
- First Sale and Duty Drawback experience.
- Apparel or retail industry logistics experience.

This is a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NJ office.
PAY RATE: $80,000/yr-$98,000/yr
