We are currently hiring a SHOWROOM SALES ASSOCIATE. This is a temp to perm position with opportunity of full-time hire.
The ideal candidate is personable, professional, organized and comfortable working in a sales-focused environment. Experience with architectural products, hardware, building materials, lighting, cabinetry, millwork or interior design is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers visiting the showroom and provide a professional customer experience.
- Learn about the company’s extensive products and assist customers with product selection and applications.
- Work with contractors, architects, designers, cabinetmakers, builders and homeowners.
- Prepare and follow up on quotes, orders and customer inquiries.
- Develop relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for additional sales.
- Respond to customer questions by phone, email and in person.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales information in company systems.
- Maintain showroom displays, samples and product areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse and other departments to ensure customer needs are met.
- Assist with showroom events, product presentations and other sales activities.
- Follow up on leads and help convert showroom inquiries into sales.
- Stay current on new products, product applications and industry trends.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of sales, showroom, customer service or related experience preferred.
- Experience in building materials, architectural products, hardware, kitchen & bath, lighting, cabinetry, millwork or interior design is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable discussing products and making recommendations to customers.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Comfortable using computers, email and CRM/ERP systems.
- Ability to learn a large and diverse product catalog.
- Must be comfortable working in an in-person showroom environment.
- Be able to push, pull, carry products, up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm
Pay: $20-$25/hr. depending on experience
