Role Overview
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for building and scaling an engaged digital community by delivering meaningful stories, educational resources, and compelling content that highlight the clinic’s medical expertise and compassionate care within a regulated healthcare environment.
This role owns the social media content strategy across platforms, ensuring that brand signals, patient education, and storytelling are aligned with enterprise marketing, communications, press, and growth initiatives. The Specialist translates brand and clinical priorities into social-first narratives that drive awareness, trust, and engagement.
Balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution, this role serves as a connective force between creative storytelling, platform performance, and broader organizational objectives. This position operates in a hybrid work environment and requires up to 25% travel to support clinics, events, campaigns, and content capture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a comprehensive social media strategy that builds trust, engagement, and community across all owned social platforms.
- Build and engage an online community through educational content, patient stories, and updates that reflect compassionate, patient-centered care, while showcasing clinical leadership, driving innovation and research, elevating partnerships, and developing strategic social campaigns.
- Manage day-to-day platform engagement, fostering authentic, timely, and on-brand interactions with the community.
- Own social calendars, publishing cadences, and content workflows to ensure consistency, quality, and platform-specific optimization.
- Lead creative direction and execution for video content, including short-form, long-form, campaign, and educational formats.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, including marketing, clinical, public relations, research, partnerships, sales, and regional dyad teams, to align social messaging across campaigns, press, and commercial initiatives.
- Monitor platform performance and engagement metrics to refine tone, timing, formats, and content mix across channels.
- Translate analytics into actionable insights that inform creative optimization, audience targeting, platform prioritization, and competitive insights.
- Identify influencer engagement opportunities to further develop brand amplification.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify emerging social trends to continuously evolve content strategy and creative execution.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate internal team members, freelancers, or agency partners supporting social content production.
- Establish creative standards, workflows, and best practices to ensure scalable, high-quality content delivery.
- Support enterprise marketing and communications goals by amplifying campaigns, announcements, and institutional storytelling through social-first execution.
- Participate in on-site visits, events, and content capture opportunities as part of travel requirements (up to 25%).

Qualifications
- 1-3+ years of experience in social media management, content strategy, or digital storytelling.
- Demonstrated experience leading social content strategy and video production for social platforms.
- Proven success in growing and engaging online communities.
- Strong experience managing social calendars, analytics, and performance reporting.
- Experience working in healthcare, fertility, wellness, or other regulated industries is a plus.
- Knowledge of compliance, privacy, and brand governance requirements impacting digital content.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, communications, clinical, and commercial teams.
- Experience supporting multi-channel or multi-brand social strategies preferred.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment and travel up to 25% as needed.
