Position Summary

Len the Plumber Heating & Air is seeking experienced, results-driven HVAC Home Comfort Advisors to support our growing Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets.

In this role, you will meet directly with homeowners, assess their comfort needs, and recommend HVAC solutions that fit their homes and budgets. You will guide customers through the sales process, prepare accurate proposals, and coordinate with installation teams to ensure a seamless experience from the initial consultation through installation.

The ideal candidate is a confident, consultative sales professional who builds trust, communicates effectively, and takes pride in helping homeowners make informed decisions.

This is a 100% commission-based W-2 position with uncapped earning potential.

What You'll Do

Residential HVAC Sales & Customer Consultation

Meet with homeowners to assess their heating and cooling needs and recommend appropriate HVAC solutions.
Build rapport, establish trust, and develop strong customer relationships.
Present equipment options, explain product benefits, and provide accurate pricing information.
Prepare detailed sales proposals and guide customers through the purchasing process.
Negotiate and close sales while maintaining a customer-first approach.
Maintain knowledge of HVAC products, available promotions, and market trends.

Installation Planning & Coordination

Take accurate measurements and document installation requirements.
Prepare complete material lists and job details to support efficient installations.
Ensure sales proposals contain the information needed for a smooth transition to the installation team.
Communicate with the Parts Team, Installation Coordinator, and installation crews.
Address questions and help resolve issues throughout the sales-to-installation process.

Sales Performance & Business Development

Meet or exceed individual sales and revenue goals.
Maintain accurate customer records, proposals, and sales documentation.
Identify opportunities to expand sales and strengthen market presence.
Develop a strong understanding of customer needs across the assigned service areas.
Collaborate with leadership and field teams to improve the customer experience and sales performance.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of sales experience.
Demonstrated ability to build rapport, establish trust, and close sales.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a commission-based environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with installation and operations teams.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to accommodate customer schedules.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as an HVAC Comfort Advisor, Home Comfort Advisor, HVAC Sales Consultant, or Residential Sales Consultant.
Experience selling residential HVAC equipment, plumbing services, home improvements, or other home-services solutions.
Familiarity with residential HVAC systems, equipment sizing, and installation requirements.
Experience preparing proposals and coordinating with installation teams.
Proven success in a performance-driven, commission-based sales environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Position involves traveling to residential customer locations throughout the assigned service areas.
Ability to climb ladders and access elevated areas as needed.
Ability to enter attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas to assess HVAC systems.
Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures and weather conditions.
Ability to safely perform measurements and equipment assessments.

Schedule & Service Area

Full-time position with a flexible schedule based on customer appointments and business needs. Evening and weekend availability is required.

This position supports customers across our Boothwyn and Horsham, PA, and Cherry Hill, NJ branches.
