OverviewKonica Minolta is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Treasury to lead treasury operations across our U.S. and Canadian businesses. Based at our Corporate Headquarters in Ramsey, NJ, this leadership role is responsible for cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, funding activities, financial risk management, and treasury compliance.
Partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, the Director will drive working capital optimization, support key business initiatives, and lead treasury transformation efforts through process improvements and automation. As the primary treasury liaison to Konica Minolta headquarters in Japan, this role will play a critical part in supporting global treasury initiatives while ensuring strong financial controls, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
This position follows a hybrid schedule, working onsite Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.
ResponsibilitiesCash Management & Liquidity
- Develop and manage short- and long-term cash flow forecasts and liquidity plans.
- Monitor daily cash positions and funding requirements across all entities.
- Drive working capital initiatives and optimize cash utilization.
- Coordinate intercompany funding, cash movements, and dividend planning.
Banking & Treasury Operations
- Manage banking relationships and treasury service providers.
- Oversee bank account administration, treasury controls, and payment processes.
- Negotiate banking services, fees, and financing agreements.
- Lead treasury automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, reduce manual activities, and improve cash visibility.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize treasury technologies, banking platforms, ERP integrations, and reporting tools.
Financing, Risk Management & Compliance
- Oversee credit facilities, debt compliance, and financing activities.
- Manage foreign exchange, liquidity, interest rate, and counterparty risks.
- Maintain treasury policies, internal controls, and fraud prevention measures.
- Ensure compliance with J-SOX requirements, corporate governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
Strategic Planning & Global Coordination
- Prepare treasury reporting, analysis, and recommendations for executive leadership.
- Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Tax on cash forecasting, financial planning, and capital management.
- Support acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives.
- Serve as the primary treasury liaison with Konica Minolta headquarters in Japan and global affiliates.
Leadership
- Lead, develop, and mentor treasury personnel.
- Establish performance objectives and support talent development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Finance, Tax, Legal, IT, and business operations.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, financing activities, and treasury operations.
- Experience with foreign exchange management, risk management, internal controls, and J-SOX compliance.
- Knowledge of treasury management systems, banking platforms, ERP integrations, and cash forecasting tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to influence senior leadership and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.
- 10-15 years of progressive treasury, finance, banking, or cash management experience.
- 5+ years of treasury leadership experience.
- Experience in a multinational or complex corporate environment preferred.
