Position Summary:
The Senior Associate Director, Marketing, will play an important role in advancing the planning and execution of key Association marketing initiatives by partnering across the Concern and Awareness division and the broader organization. This role helps translate strategic priorities into integrated marketing and communications efforts that effectively reach target audiences and strengthen the Alzheimer’s Association brand.
The role works across multiple initiatives and timelines, providing experienced guidance and coordination to support consistent and effective execution. It serves as a key partner in volunteer engagement and brand initiatives and contributes to brand strategy execution and paid media planning for Association campaigns, helping ensure alignment, consistency and performance across channels.
Responsibilities
- Supports brand strategy planning and execution across the Association, developing and managing brand campaigns, safeguarding brand consistency, and directing production timelines and internal/external rollout planning.
- Manages agency partners and directs paid media strategy — planning, budget allocation, audience strategy, execution and performance reporting — to maximize campaign reach and ROI.
- Drives the planning and execution of key Association initiatives, including Volunteer Engagement and Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, by partnering across the Concern and Awareness pillar and with business partners to develop and implement integrated marketing and communications plans. Provides experienced marketing guidance to field staff to help ensure effective and consistent execution of priority initiatives.
- Provides strategic guidance on the development of engaging, mission-focused content across a variety of channels, including earned media, social media and direct marketing, and for a range of audiences. Reviews and edits copy and provides guidance to internal and external business partners and team members to help ensure content is effective, consistent and aligned with Association priorities and brand standards.
- Directs and oversees the creation of internal and external collateral for marketing materials, advertising campaigns, websites/pages, merchandise, etc., ensuring alignment with brand and strategic priorities.
- Upholds the organizations and the division’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field preferred or equivalent experience; master’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or a related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience; 10 years, agency experience preferred.
