Join the Commercial & Investment Bank Finance & Business Management Cross-border Payments Business Management team as a Senior Associate, helping shape and execute our growth strategy for a critical international payments franchise. In this high-visibility role, you’ll partner closely with senior product leaders to deliver analytics-driven insights, support business reviews and strategic forums, manage key initiatives end-to-end, and help identify and mitigate business risks—leveraging advanced project management, Excel/PowerPoint expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving payments landscape.
As a Senior Associate in the Commercial & Investment Bank Finance & Business Management Cross-border Payments Business Management team, you will optimize business performance by forwarding key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweights to Business/Group Heads. The role of the business management team is dynamic and can vary from business to business; in Cross-border Payments, the Business Manager plays a pivotal role in promoting transformation and influencing outcomes in complex business scenarios. This high-impact position involves conducting robust analytics to support senior product leaders, ensuring transparency around business performance drivers, and managing end-to-end business activities. As trusted advisors, we identify, escalate, and mitigate business risks, making this role essential to our success. This role offers high visibility and the opportunity to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and senior business leads.
Job responsibilities
- Provide high responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis.
- Track and understand trends in revenues, transactional activity and deal pipeline activity. Providing insights on drivers of change to finance partners and Management team.
- Track and analyze revenue, transactional volumes, client/deal pipeline, and expense trends; surface drivers of change and actionable insights to leadership and finance partners.
- Create high-quality presentations with a clear storytelling view for Business Reviews, Town Halls, and strategic meetings.
- Collaborate to the revenue budgeting / forecasting process.
- Organize complex information strategically and compellingly, demonstrating advanced design acumen and expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Manage agenda for Business Reviews by coordinating advanced planning activities and managing meeting content.
- Develop senior leadership presentation content highlighting growth opportunities and maintain multi-year forecast views for each product.
- Project manage and deliver key work streams and tasks.
- Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, continually simplifying, improving, and adding value to existing business processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related area.
- Prior experience in Business Management or a COO role.
- Proven experience delivering timely, high-quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with different stakeholder groups and forward the agenda.
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage large sets of data.
- Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in design decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables).
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with a high degree of independence.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced time management and prioritization skills.
