As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Issuance in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and monitoring entry points. You will support security-related operations through clear communication, attentive service, and accurate documentation while helping to deter unauthorized access. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and/or emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, unauthorized access attempts, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Report access-control equipment issues, unusual activity, and policy concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal and site leadership personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
