Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
About the opportunity: This role is part of the Accounting Operations Americas – Accounts Payable team, focused on accurate invoice processing and timely payment execution in accordance with established controls and procedures. You will support account reconciliations, cash accounting activities, and month-end close deliverables and reporting. The position also involves resolving payment-related inquiries, investigating discrepancies, and contributing to accurate financial operations.
Location: This is a hybrid position that reports into our Parsippany, NJ office on Wednesdays.
What you will be doing:
Responsible for creating and processing invoices for payments made by ADC.
Investigate returned payments to ensure payments can be made correctly in the future.
Responsible for account reconciliations.
Support cash accounting reconciliations.
Responsible for month end closing deliverables and reporting.
Prepare standard AP reporting to ensure relevant information is distributed for effective control and decision making.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures across all daily processing activity.
Deal with queries with regards to unpaid invoices/expense claims, disputed invoices/expense claims, payment cycles, etc.
Other duties including filing, post, supplier statement reconciliations.
Process any urgent one-off payments as instructed by the Team Leader.
Provide coverage for team members responsible for other areas of the business or counterparts in the Accounts Receivable team as required.
What you need for success:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent preferred.
Up to 3 years previous work experience in a Finance department handling high transaction processing volumes.
Basic knowledge and experience of working with ERP applications and modules. NetSuite knowledge is a plus.
Spanish and/or French speakers are a plus.
The hiring salary range for this position is $54,750 - $73,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and applicable employment laws.
