In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

Overview:


The University Radiology Vascular and Interventional Center, our newly established office-based lab, is opening in Warren, NJ inJune 2026! We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced full-time Registered Nurse - Office Manager to oversee office operations. As an experienced Registered Nurse, you will also be responsible for patient care under the direction of a physician or licensed health care provider, to include monitoring conscious sedation, starting IVs and administering medications.

 

Practice Operations Management Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of the outpatient facility
• Manage patient scheduling, registration, and workflow optimization
• Supervise administrative staff and coordinate with clinical teams
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and accreditation standards
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
• Manage vendor relationships and facility maintenance
• Oversee billing, coding, and revenue cycle management
• Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics
• Establish and maintain relationships with referring physicians and healthcare networks

 

Nursing Responsibilities/Tasks:
● Administering medications during procedures for conscious sedation
● Monitoring of vital signs during procedure
● Perform venipuncture and start IVs and Hep-Locks, and access ports
● Storing, checking and administering drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines, including maintenance of narcotic log.
● Providing technical assistance during procedures, ensuring safe working practice.
● Assist with monitoring of patients recovering from conscious sedation.
● Ensuring the safe discharge of all patients who have had procedures
● Maintaining timely and accurate nursing records and ensuring that confidentiality is respected.
● Working directly on Electronic Medical Record system for the electronic management of patient information
● Responsible for the accuracy of client information entered into the Electronic Medical Record system.
● Triage all emergency situations.
● Assist with Center flow and clean up.
● Contributing to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or
● Demonstrate clear knowledge and accountability of quality regulations and standards.

 

 

*May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred
• Background as Radiology registered nurse preferred
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare management experience, preferably in specialty or outpatient settings
• Strong understanding of medical practice operations and healthcare regulations
• Experience with EMR systems, practice management software, and billing processes
• Knowledge of radiology/imaging workflows and procedures preferred
Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and patient care pathways

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Registered Nurse License to practice in the State of NJ
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as registered nurse, at least 2 years experience with conscious sedation or ER/ICU experience is preferable.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Proficiency healthcare technology platforms

Pay Range:
