Registered Nurse, Per Diem, Variable Shift, Operating Room, Hackettstown Medical Center

The OR RN is responsible for coordinating care delivery within the OR/procedural setting.  Must demonstrate strong communication skills, work well in a multi-disciplinary setting and be a strong patient advocate. 

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Maintains accurate and complete procedural documentation.
2. Responds to the needs of the procedural care team including but not limited to, gathering of resources, supplies, equipment, and medications.
3. Functions in the circulator role and. 
4. Maintains sterile vigilance and supports all team members in this endeavor                                                                                                                                                             5. Assists with the flow in combination with the Radiology and OR teams and anesthesia providers to optimize efficiency.
6. Collaborates with all members of the Procedural Care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care, to achieve best patient outcomes. 
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
 

Required:
1.    Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
2.    Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
3.    BLS certification.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        4.   3+ years current Operative nursing experience

Preferred:
1.    Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
a.    All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
2.    Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
