Staff Accountant

Eastern Lift Truck Co., Inc. Staff Accountant Eastern Lift Truck Co., Inc. (ELTC) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of accounting and financial functions. The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is eager to develop their skills and contribute to a dynamic accounting environment with opportunities for advancement.Main Duties:The Staff Accountant will support the Finance and Accounting team across a variety of core accounting functions, including: Maintaining the integrity and structure of the general ledger for both branch and corporate accounts Preparing and posting journal entries Performing general ledger account reconciliations Managing daily banking activity and assisting with cash flow monitoring and analysis Performing financial analysis and supporting management reporting Assisting with the preparation and review of sales tax filings and compliance activities Assisting with the calculation and analysis of sales commissions Supporting the Controller in continuous improvement efforts within the department Completing additional assignments, strategic initiatives, and special projects as directed by the Controller Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0 2–3 years of general ledger or accounting experience preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High level of attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to learn and work within the accounting modules of the company’s business management system Experience in the material handling or mobile equipment industry is a plus Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription plan. 401k with partial company match, paid vacation and sick days, paid holidays, short- & long-term disability, and basic/supplemental life insurance policies.  Compensation: This position is a salaried position of a salaried range between 55-65k   Who is Eastern Lift Truck Co.? Eastern Lift Truck Co., is a family-owned company, celebrating over 50 years strong.
