Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, as a member of the Technical Operations leadership team, this role will be critical in setting the strategy and realizing the vision for the growth and expansion of ADC Therapeutics' global commercial and clinical supply. The incumbent will lead and mentor an experienced team of manufacturing, technical and supply chain professionals responsible for managing all activities related to supply of ADCT's antibody drug conjugate therapies, including chemistry, cell culture, conjugation, form/fill, label/pack, shipping and logistics. 

In addition, this role will be responsible for leading efforts to optimize the internal and external networks and business processes to support significant anticipated growth in supply, in collaboration with key Tech Ops leaders. In this role, the incumbent will have overall responsibility for External Partnerships and Network Management, Procurement/ Contracting and Cost Optimization, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations, while ensuring all GMP Supply activities are done with a high focus on Quality and Compliance.

The preferred location for this position is to be hybrid from the ADCT New Jersey office, but will also consider remote within the US if able to travel to the NJ office and other business locations when needed. 

What You’ll Do:

• Lead global supply operations, which includes the manufacturing supply organizations for clinical and commercial supply, external manufacturing, supply chain and partner management
• Coach, mentor, and develop your team to achieve a high performance, quality and safety focused biotech GMP manufacturing culture, leading the strategic effort to grow our capabilities
• Global overall accountability for the strategic supply relationships with ADCT's global commercial partners, working closely with Alliance Management to develop and implement more integrated external collaborations to ensure uninterrupted supply to all global markets as new markets launch and expanded indications and combination therapies are pursued. 
• This position will also have overall responsibility for ADCT's global network of CMDOs, collaborating closely with key leaders within Tech Ops to increase the volume and velocity in our supply network by developing and implementing an improved internal and external framework for partnering more effectively with our CMOs, driving lead time and cost reduction while ensuring uninterrupted supply during a period of anticipated growth. 
• In close partnership with Quality, lead the Supply organization to ensure routine supply and continuous improvement, including Lean practices, investigations and change controls, support of external manufacturing and vendor management. 
• Collaborate with Quality to foster a clear and inherent culture of Quality First and Right First Time that ensures high transparency and collaboration between Quality, Operations and our external partners such that we work daily as one team in service of bringing ADCT’s transformative therapeutics to patients, ensuring high quality, responsiveness and value. 
• This role will also have primary budget and procurement responsibility for the Supply Organization, partnering with Finance to drive cost savings, contract optimization and standardization across ADCT's network. 
• In collaboration with Regulatory, author regulatory and technical documents for regulatory submissions in support of manufacturing and serve as subject matter expert in regulatory interactions. 
• Other duties as assigned

Who You Are:

• BS or BSE in engineering, science, or other relevant discipline plus 20 years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech experience, or advanced degree plus 15 years of experience.
• Proven record of accomplishment in GMP pharmaceutical or biotech operations, supply chain and/or technical operations; strong preference for candidates with both biologics and chemistry based experience. 
• Strong team leadership, strategy development / implementation, and change management experience, leading operational teams for routine pharma/biotech market supply in either internal or external manufacturing setting; 
• Experienced external-facing technical leader with track record of high-level performance in managing delivery and relationships with multiple interdependent CDMO partners, and multiple downstream commercial customers (internal and external). 
• Diverse manufacturing supply background in the pharmaceutical / biotech environment, particularly in External Manufacturing management, Supply Chain, internal and external S&OP, MRP, strategic procurement (including but not limited to supply agreement negotiation). 
• Experience with regulatory filings, change control, management of change, regulatory agency audit, partner audits.
• Proven success in delivering business results with visual management / operational excellence / lean / six sigma, etc
• A growth mindset and passion for building something new with a talented team, in service of bringing breakthrough medications to patients.
• Available for domestic and international travel (estimated up to 25% of time, primarily in the US and Europe, possibly Asia).
