Job Purpose
The Clinical Nurse Liaison (CNL) is a field-based scientific professional and a key member of the Medical Affairs organization at Pharmacosmos. The CNL plays an integral role across the product lifecycle, ensuring the safe and effective use of Pharmacosmos therapies by serving as a scientific resource and educational partner within the medical and nursing communities.
With a primary focus on registered nurses, the CNL provides disease state education and product training, supporting the appropriate use of Pharmacosmos products. While their primary focus is on Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA), CNLs also support efforts related to small cell lung cancer, expanding their impact across therapeutic areas.
The Northeast Region includes the following: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Northern New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The ideal candidate would reside in New York or Northern New Jersey.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This CNL is expected to:
- Stay up to date on IDA and small cell lung cancer disease state, product knowledge, and the competitive landscape.
- Align daily activities with the Medical Affairs strategy and field plans.
- Deliver scientific presentations and disease education in infusion centers, hospitals, and academic institutions.
- Plan and lead non-promotional workshops on IDA and IV iron product administration.
- Identify, train, and support nurse speakers for the Commercial Nurse Speaker Program.
- Help recruit and support Nurse Advisory Board activities.
- Assist in developing educational tools and resources for nurses and patients.
- Gather and report clinical insights to inform strategy and product development.
- Mentor and support onboarding of new CNLs.
- Contribute to national congress summaries and Medical Affairs reports.
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and professional societies.
- Collaborate with regional teams to share insights and coordinate efforts.
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests and document appropriately.
- Support pharmacovigilance responsibilities and collect safety data as needed.
- Share innovative ideas to help drive team and organizational growth.
- Provide clinical and scientific briefings for educational meetings and speaker programs.
- Assist with training of internal teams on disease state, product information, and the competitive landscape.
- Follow up on adverse events and provide ongoing account support as needed.
- Create and maintain account plans for key national accounts in your region.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Medical Affairs colleagues to support regional activities.
- Organize and lead regional and conference-based peer to peer discussions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Professional Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; active nursing license, Oncology Nursing Certification (preferred).
- Experience in oncology, ideally within an infusion center setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including top-tier medical experts.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards (PhRMA, OIG, etc.).

Flexibility:

Duties and responsibilities may adapt in response to changing business needs, priorities, or strategic direction. Any significant changes will be discussed collaboratively between the employee and their manager as they arise.
Additional information:
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Field-based position; must reside within the assigned regional territory.
- Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time.
- Overnight travel required, typically 1–3 nights per week depending on territory.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
