Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile account balances and bank statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare month-end close procedures.
- Provide financial reporting to the bank 1-2 times per week.
- Create and adjust journal entries in the TGI-ERP system.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to build and adjust reports, including pivot tables and filters.
- Export trial balances from ERP and ensure proper mapping of new GL codes.
- Support ad hoc projects as needed.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in reconciliation and bank reconciliation.
- Strong financial reporting skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with cost accounting and/or in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Ability to work well independently.
- CPA or audit experience is highly desirable.
Work Environment
This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs. The role is crucial for cleaning up accounting work as the team has been behind schedule. The current team includes a Controller, 1 Accounts Payable, 1 Accounts Receivable, 1 Billing, and 1 Purchasing Manager. Some standard operating procedures (SOPs) are available for training purposes.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
