About the Role
Primrose School of Old Bridge is looking for a creative, energetic, and social-media-savvy Content Creator to bring our school’s story to life online.
This is not just a “posting” position. We are looking for someone who can come up with creative content ideas, visit our school 2–3 days per week to capture content, edit engaging videos, and manage our presence across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
The right person understands what makes people stop scrolling and knows how to turn everyday moments at our school into fun, professional, engaging content that parents and our local community want to watch and share.
What You’ll Do
- Visit the school 2–3 days per week to capture photos and videos.
- Create engaging Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories, Facebook posts, and short-form videos.
- Develop creative content ideas around:
- Classroom activities
- Teachers and staff
- School events
- Seasonal activities
- Educational moments
- Parent-focused content
- Behind-the-scenes moments
- School culture and community
- Enrollment and promotional campaigns
- Plan and maintain a consistent social media content calendar.
- Edit videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms.
- Add music, captions, transitions, graphics, voiceovers, and other elements that make content engaging and polished.
- Write captions that are fun, natural, engaging, and consistent with the Primrose brand.
- Post and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Stay current on social media trends, trending audio, video formats, and content styles.
- Repurpose content appropriately across different platforms.
- Monitor basic performance metrics and identify which types of content are generating the most views, engagement, and interest.
- Work closely with school leadership to promote important events, enrollment periods, programs, and community initiatives.
- Ensure all content follows school policies regarding children's privacy, photo/video permissions, and brand standards.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who naturally sees a moment and thinks, “This would make a great Reel.”
You should be:
- Highly creative and able to generate new content ideas independently.
- Comfortable filming people, classrooms, activities, and events.
- Experienced with short-form video creation for Instagram and TikTok.
- Strong at video editing and creating polished social media content.
- Familiar with platforms such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar tools.
- Knowledgeable about current social media trends and best practices.
- Comfortable working around children, teachers, and families in a preschool environment.
- Organized and able to manage a consistent posting schedule.
- Reliable and comfortable being physically present at the school several times each week.
- Able to work independently while collaborating with school leadership.
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year of experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing, photography, videography, or a related field.
- Portfolio or examples of Reels, TikToks, short-form videos, or social media accounts you have managed.
- Experience creating content for a school, childcare center, local business, family-focused brand, restaurant, fitness studio, or other community-based business is a plus.
- Basic photography and videography skills are strongly preferred.
