Our Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and managing the HR function for 4 of our amazing businesses, IFC, Western Pest Services, Waltham Pest Services, OPC and Western Fumigation, all in partnership with the brands’ leadership team. This position is based at the Western home office in Parsippany, NJ.
The focus is on assessing strategic organizational needs, driving change, building high performing teams and growing leadership capability and capacity aligned to the business strategy. The successful Division HR Director serves as an advisor to business leaders providing consultation and developing resources that bring HR solutions to match business needs, serves as the subject matter expert for the company on Labor Relations.

Responsibilities
As the HR Director, you will be responsible for the following areas. . .
- People Leadership and Teammate Relations
- Leads a team of 3 HR professionals to include 1 HR Manager based in Kentucky, 1 HR /Generalist Manager based in Georgia, and 1 HR Generalist in Kansas.
- Co-lead the labor relations strategy and negotiations in partnership with our operations leaders for all three unions supporting our Western and Waltham brands (Teamsters, SEIU, and Steelworkers).
- Serve as a member of the greater Rollins Rapid Response Team
- Policy, Administration and Compliance
- Provide interpretation and guidance on policies and procedures as well as develop, recommend and update as necessary
- Working knowledge of state, local and Federal labor laws and guidelines. Remain abreast of state labor law and regulation changes within the territory’s footprint
- Facilitate the administration of salaries and wages in accordance with company policy including analysis and development of pay plans, Performance Appraisal Program administration, Job Descriptions, and Field Communications
- Facilitate or directly administer HR Due Diligence Audits during the Acquisition process; coordinating between payroll, benefits and pre-employment in order to ensure that acquisition employees are properly on boarded
- Talent, Training and Communications
- Co-lead Develop, coordinate and deliver HR Training as needed
- Co-lead the leadership talent review/succession planning processes
- Oversee the recruitment process and increase efforts in the areas of talent sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding of new team members. Lead the Division Recruiter and/or Coordinators to ensure talent acquisition strategies are effective and coach managers on best practices
- Monitor and track HR related programs through reports and performance statistics
- Direct interface for communication of benefit programs and problem resolution between team members and corporate benefits group administration
- All other duties as assigned
Travel Required: U.S.-based travel within company operations at an estimated 50%; predominantly in the Northeastern and Midwestern US (MA, CT, NYC, NJ, PA, DE, KY, IN, OH, GA)
Qualifications
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
- Education required is a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business.
- 10+ years of HR Business Partner or Consulting experience in the areas of labor relations, organization design and development, change management, workforce planning, coaching/consultation, program/project management, facilitation, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, overall talent management, and communication
- Multi-location and/or multi-state experience
- Experience related to union contract negotiations
- Self-starter with natural tendency to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and anticipate needs
- Strong judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discernment and sensitivity
- Ability to build and maintain trust-based, collaborative relationships and influence others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of HR Project Management skills inclusive of the ability to design and oversee multiple, concurrent projects working collaboratively with teams in support of business objectives
- Use all Microsoft Office programs to document processes, prepare and update documents, presentations, and spreadsheets as requir
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include:
- Master’s Degree in HR Management or related discipline preferred
- Active or willing to obtain SPHR certification
- Previous service industry human resources experience a plus
- Previous human resources team leadership experience a plus
- Ability to research internal & external best practices for potential use within the organization
- Ability to analyze HR data and trends leveraging people analytics to share visual messaging
- Ability to effectively design and deliver communications for leaders at all levels in the organization
