Description:
The Supervisor, Facilities Engineering is responsible for overseeing facilities and engineering operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment to ensure regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and cost-effective execution of projects and maintenance activities. This role provides leadership and technical guidance to engineering staff while ensuring the proper functioning, qualification, and maintenance of facility systems, utilities, and equipment in accordance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee engineering and facilities programs to ensure the compliant, safe, and reliable operation of machinery, equipment, and utilities. Responsibilities include validation activities, preventive maintenance (PM), building management systems (BMS), environmental controls, fire system maintenance, building permit management, and the development, implementation, and training of engineering SOPs.
- Plan and supervise workloads for direct reports while overseeing facilities management services, including building systems operations, maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects. Review and evaluate operational procedures and personnel practices, and establish and implement enhanced processes to support efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations.
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to the Project Engineers, Validation Engineers, and Junior Mechanics, including performance management, coaching, and development. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate preparation and management of the engineering and facilities budget; monitor expenditures; analyze staffing requirements; and oversee maintenance contracts, service agreements, and construction activities related to facility modifications and repairs.
- Review, evaluate, and continuously improve operating procedures and practices to enhance compliance, efficiency, and reliability of facilities and engineering operations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Engineering (Mechanical, electrical, facilities, or related field) - Required
Experience:
- 4 years or more in Engineering in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- 2 years or more in Supervisory level or lead experience
The base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $110,000 per year. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.
