This is a fully in-office, on-site position.
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring invoices are accurately coded, entered, and routed for approval;
- Process vendor payments accurately and in accordance with established payment schedules;
- Manage vendor setup and maintenance, including obtaining and maintaining required documentation such as Certificates of Insurance, W-9s, and subcontractor agreements;
- Review and process employee expense reports and company credit card statements, including verification of supporting documentation and appropriate accounting treatment;
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions, vendor statements, and related accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed;
- Coordinate with employees, project managers, and vendors to resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies and respond to related inquiries;
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation; and
- Assist the Finance team with additional accounting activities and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred;
- Recent graduates and candidates beginning their accounting careers are encouraged to apply;
- Previous accounting, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related internship experience is a plus, but not required;
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook; and
- Experience within the AEC industry or a related professional services industry is a plus, but not required.
