At Ferraro Foods, our Human Resources team supports employees through every stage of their journey with the company—from pre-hire and onboarding through employee changes and offboarding.
We are looking for an HR Coordinator who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple HR processes in a fast-paced environment. This role works closely with HR leadership, Payroll, IT, Safety, and other internal teams to help ensure employee transactions are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company requirements.
Internally, this position is titled Employee Lifecycle Specialist.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
Coordinate pre-hire and onboarding activities for new employees, including background checks, drug testing, required documentation, and other role-specific requirements
Track DOT-related pre-hire requirements for driver positions in partnership with the Safety/DOT team, including medical cards, licenses, Clearinghouse documentation, and required testing
Assign and monitor electronic onboarding tasks and maintain new hire onboarding checklists and trackers
Collect required Form I-9 documentation and complete E-Verify cases for new hires, rehires, and reverifications
Ensure pre-hire and onboarding documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained
Process and track employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, promotions, transfers, pay changes, and terminations
Maintain accurate employee information within HR systems and internal tracking tools
Partner with Payroll to communicate employee changes accurately and on time
Coordinate employee system access setup and deactivation by submitting and tracking IT Helpdesk requests
Support employee offboarding, including documentation, system deactivation, and final pay coordination
Maintain employee personnel files and HR records, including I-9s, medical records, disciplinary documentation, performance reviews, certifications, and training records
Complete employment verifications and respond to employee data requests
Assist with HR audits, reporting, compliance initiatives, and special projects
Support interview scheduling, candidate communication, and other recruitment coordination as needed
Monitor HR inboxes and respond to employee, candidate, and internal stakeholder inquiries in a timely and professional manner
The Ingredients for Success
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
1–2 years of HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or administrative support experience preferred
Experience working with HR systems, employee records, or HR-related data strongly preferred
Comfortable working in spreadsheets and maintaining detailed trackers
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism
Bilingual Spanish preferred

Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour
